From the autumn of 2006 on Euro1080 will launch a series of regional culture channels, which will
be branded HD3. In total, 11 culture channels will be
set up in the period 2006-2008 for different
European regions: Flanders, The Netherlands, the
French language region, the German language region,
Scandinavia, Italy, Spain, UK, Poland, Russia and Tur***
70 percent of the content of the culture channels will be “pan-European”, i.e. common for all HD3 channels. The bulk of it will be high profile music programmes (classical music, opera, rock, pop music,…). 20% of the content will be regional and concentrate on other cultural expressions such as theatre, literature, exhibitions, photography, etc. The remaining 10% will also be regional, but will be exchangeable for the other HD3 culture channels thanks to the common programme format.
